Introduction

The programme will be launched in Oct 2009.

The curriculum of Statistics and Decision Science programmes is to provide students with a general level of undergraduate training of statistics and mathematics, and also gives students with an opportunity to develop problem-solving skills in dealing with a wide range of industry/business-oriented decision-making problems. The programme offers opportunities to study a list of non-mathematical courses including environmental control and monitoring, economic, accounting and financial decision in its honours-degree level. By selecting an elective option students will be equipped with specific knowledge to solve problems and make decisions in the elective field. The importance of the decision science in nowadays society leads to a growing demand for people with the following skills which will be covered in the programmes:
